Kids make cards for care staff

Youngsters from a county primary school have designed Christmas cards for care staff who will be working over the festive period.

The children from Cramlington Village Primary School designed their cards for Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust staff and presented them to community matron Jane Linley and district nurse Heather Foggo, who are based at Cramlington Health Centre.

The cards were designed following a visit from staff at the trust to tell the children about the new Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital being built in Cramlington.

The children were so impressed to hear that Northumbria Healthcare staff will be working in the community and in hospitals on Christmas Day and over the festive period that they wanted to show their appreciation by designing a card for them.
