PUPILS lit up a shopping centre as they took part in a festive parade.

Youngsters from Beaconhill Community Primary School, in Cramlington, led the way in introducing a yuletide performance at the town’s Manor Walks Shopping Centre.

The children took part in a lantern parade with their homemade lanterns whilst singing festive songs.

They then hung their own individually decorated baubles on the Christmas tree, situated between the centre and Concordia Leisure Centre for shoppers to enjoy.

The parade was part of Manor Walks’ “Cramlington’s Community Christmas” events programme, which celebrates the importance of community and charity during the festive season.
