A county care home that specialises in dementia care has celebrated its one year anniversary with a 1940s-inspired party.

Cramlington House was transported back in time for residents to enjoy a classic cocktail party and popular music from the 40s provided by vintage singer Kayley Cares, with many residents also choosing to dress in clothing from the era.

Lucy Craig, founder of Craig Healthcare which owna the home, said: “This anniversary marks a very special day for us as staff and residents.

“Residents have enjoyed themselves with their loved ones and the photos from the evening have allowed them to create new memories which is crucial for those living with dementia.

“The evening has also celebrated the commitment of our staff, who are specially trained to provide the best level of dementia care in the region.

“We invest in our people and in turn they invest in our care homes, ensuring that all residents and their families receive the care they deserve.”
