Accountancy firm expands with £150,000 investment

AN Ashington-based accountancy practice is branching out with an additional office to cope with the increased demand for its services.

Peter Weldon & Co, who has been based in the centre of Ashington for more than 20 years, has now opened an office in Morpeth to accommodate the increase in new business.

Owner and managing director, Peter Weldon, said: “This latest move to open an operation in Morpeth is in response to the increased demand we have experienced from a number of new clients in and around that area of Northumberland.

“The opening of an additional workspace for our staff, the first time we have expanded from our HQ in Ashington, is an exciting new direction for Peter Weldon and the team.”

The new office marks a £150,000 investment into the long term goals of expanding Peter Weldon & Co’s operations.

The new location, in Appleby House, Castle Square, will allow Weldon’s experienced team to serve an increasing number of clients based in Northumberland, as well as across the north east and further afield.
