A girlguiding assistant leader in Cramlington is celebrating after being made a Queen’s Guide.
Angela Bell, an assistant leader with 1st Cramlington Brownies, was presented with her Queen’s Guide Award by chief guide Gill Solocombe at a special ceremony held at London’s Goldsmith’s Hall.
The Queen’s award is girlguiding’s highest accolade, and encourages them to make a difference, develop their leadership skills and boost confidence.
To achieve the honour, Angie was involved in promoting organ transplantation awareness with the help of Cramlington Rangers.
Angie said: “I am so pleased to have gained this award, it was both tough and interesting and although it takes time and dedication is definitely worth doing.”
