A Blyth woman has held a Dine at Mine afternoon to raise money for St Oswald’s hospice.

Anne Frost invited close friends and family round for afternoon tea, where she served guests prosecco while they enjoyed a selection of afternoon tea favourites including sandwiches, cakes and scones.

Guests donated £10 each to the Hospice in exchange for their afternoon treats.

Anne said: “I decided to host a Dine at Mine event as it’s a great excuse to get together with friends and have a good catch up.

“My sister in law was one of the first inpatients at St Oswald’s and passed away at the hospice.

“When I was visiting her I met a couple of the other patients and they were so positive, it really stayed with me.”

“Everyone said they had a great day and we raised around £190 which is fantastic,” she added.
