Gloucester Lodge Farm Show, Blyth

Gloucester Lodge Farm Show, Blyth

A popular horse show that has been running since 2006 returned to Blyth.

Gloucester Lodge Farm held its annual show off the Links Road between Blyth and Seaton Sluice.

More than 300 top-class horses and ponies from all over the north of England came to the event, making it one of the largest horse shows in the area.

The event included a range of trade stands and stalls, as well as championship classes and cash-prize showjumping.

There was a fun dog show, a dog agility clear-round competition and Bonnie the barn owl, from Blyth Wildlife Rescue, toured the show field with her handler John Anderson.

A local travelling caravan and wagon artist was also on hand to show off his work.

Face painting and cake stalls raised money for Stroke Northumbria and Stratstone BMW were there to sponsor the Hunter, Cob, Hack and Sportshorse Championship.

The event also supported the Metro Radio Cash for Kids charity, which received 50p from every entry, plus donations on the day.
