Assault in town pub

A WOMAN was left with bruising after being assaulted in a Bedlington pub.

The 45-year-old victim was punched in the face by another woman while they were inside the Clayton Arms pub in Clayton Street.

The assault took place between 9pm and 9.30pm on New Year’s Day.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Anyone who saw the assault or has any information should contact police on 101 ext 69191.
