A MASSIVE £2,378 was raised for three charities during a supermarket bag pack in just two days.

Kim Sweeney, who is fundraising for the ABF – The Soliders’ Charity in memory of her son Michael, who was killed in Afghanistan, was joined by Army Cadets and Elswick All Arms Association.

As a result of their efforts, the three good causes will each benefit from £792, donated by shoppers in the Asda store in Blyth.

Kim said: “I would like to thank Shelley Butcher and Asda Blyth for having us in their store and to the customers who so kindly donated to our causes.”

Further fundraising events are planned for ABF later this spring, including a fun day in Blyth market square on March 30 and charity football match on May 4.
