Youngsters in Cramlington are being given the chance to get their bikes stamped by police, to help identify it if it is stolen.
Cramlington neighbourhood policing team will be in Sainsbury’s at Manor Walks Shopping Centre in the town at 11am on Saturday, January 4, to offer crime prevention advice to residents.
Anyone who comes between 11am and 1pm can have their bikes marked, get tips and advice on keeping thieves at bay, and find out more about policing in the area.
Cramlington and Seaton Valley community support officer, Beverley Branighan said: “This is a great opportunity for people to come along for an informal chat.
“We are providing free crime prevention advice plus bike marking so people can protect themselves from thieves.”
