Young people are being given the opportunity to access new and exciting activities during the summer holidays in one south east Northumberland town.
Bedlington’s ‘Summer of Fun’, organised by local charity Leading Link and supported by young people from the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme, will offer a number of fun afternoons across two weeks at Bedlington Community Centre for ten to 14-year-olds in the town.
Activities will take place on the weeks commencing Monday, August 5, and Monday, August 11, and will include sports, dance and fitness, sculpture making, a murder mystery evening and an end of summer celebration barbecue funded by West Bedlington Town Council.
Lyn Horton, manager of Leading Link, said: “This is a fantastic programme of new and exciting activities that we just can’t wait to get started.”
