Cancer awareness campaign hits the road

editorial image

A CAMPAIGN to raise awareness of the symptoms of kidney and bladder cancer is taking its message on the road across south east Northumberland.

The Be Clear on Cancer’ community campaign takes place on Wednesday, January 30, and Thursday, January 31, and the team will be out and about to raise awareness of these two types of cancer, which cause 7,500 deaths nationally each year.

The ‘roaming’ team of two in a branded, leased ‘Be Clear on Cancer’ vehicle is equipping itself for difficult driving conditions to ensure communities in less urban areas of Northumberland receive the same valuable information as those living in larger towns.

Visit www.nhs.uk/bloodinpee for details about the campaign.
