Cole finds new home at Forest

FORMER Sunderland and Newcastle United striker Andrew Cole is set to join Nottingham Forest on a one year deal.

Cole, who only managed seven appearances for the Black Cats without finding the target, is expected to join the Championship side next week on a free transfer.

He was released by Sunderland at the end of last season.

Cole spent the latter stages of the 2007-08 season on loan at Burnley, where he scored six goals in 13 appearances.

The 36-year-old is the fourth player added to the Forest squad in the close season.

Manager Colin Calderwood has also signed Robert Earnshaw for 2.65m, midfielder Paul Anderson, on loan from Liverpool, and Frenchman Guy Moussi.
