A police operation to tackle anti social behaviour in a Northumberland town has seen an injunction brought against a nuisance couple.
Police in Morpeth gave a couple an injunction preventing them from entering a housing complex after they targeted a man living there.
The man and woman encouraged the man to drink to excess and took financial advantage of him.
Reports were made to the police and the housing provider, Isos Housing, who identified the couple who had also been causing a nuisance and disturbance in the quiet residential area.
Inspector Dave Simpson said: “We take all reports of anti-social behaviour seriously and will fully investigate the circumstances and take the appropriate action.
“ASB affects people’s quality of life and can mean different things to different people but we will always look to work with partners to solve these issues.”
A village shop owner who experienced problems in and around his property was also helped by his local Neighbourhood Beat Manager.
Pc Paul Dent attended a call to the shop where he identified the youths involved in the disorder, who he then spoke to in front of their parents.
