Drama king Don in play of his life

A founding member of a pantomime society will perform a guided tour of his life to raise money for two charities.

Don Atha, who has more than 55 years’ experience on the stage and has stared in 40 Gang Shows, 20 with Seaton Delaval Pantomime Society, will perform a special show for charity next weekend.

Don, a founder member of Whitley Bay Pantomime Society, is inviting people to join him for a guided tour of his life, pausing at significant markers along the way.

The show, 30 Bob and a Candle, will be at Seaton Delaval Arts Centre on Saturday, June 7, at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced at £8 for adults and £7 for concessions, are available online at www.seatondelavalartscentre.com by calling the ticket hotline on (0191) 237 5460, or calling in at the arts centre.

The show is a joint fundraising event for Seaton Sluice Community Centre and Seaton Delaval Arts Centre.
