A PHOTOGRAPHIC exhibition is under way at Morpeth Chantry, showcasing the work of a group of students.

The seven HND photography students at Northumberland College, who are calling themselves ‘F8’, are exhibiting their varied works to the public during March and April.

Student Claire Brown said: “We chose the name F8 as it’s an aperture focus setting on a camera and it’s also text speak for ‘fate’, which felt perfect for where we want to be in the future.”

Course team leader Jacqui Dixon said: “The students have organised the exhibition themselves and it will be the students’ first steps into the profession.”

The students’ work will be available to purchase at Morpeth Town Hall from March 23.
