Four arrests after man is assaulted and robbed

A MAN was left with cuts and bruises after being assaulted and robbed in Blyth.

A group approached a 36-year-old man while he sat outside Broadway Wines in the Broadway Circle at 5.20pm on Monday, October 15.

One of them stole the man’s mobile phone before the group punched and kicked him.

Officers arrested two men, aged 24 and 22, and two women, aged 20 and 17, in connection with the incident.

They have been bailed pending enquiries.

There were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident and police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 101 ext 69191.
