Members of a rugby club’s junior team were treated to free transport to a recent game.
Transport company Go North East came to the aid of Blyth RFC’s under-13’s team when they were looking for ways to get to Berwick.
A spokesman for the team said: “This was a fantastic gesture as it is the first time the team were able to travel together to an away game as we usually rely on parents’ transport.
“It was a great team building experience for the team, and the parents enjoyed it just as much.”
Although the Blyth youngsters were narrowly beaten by their border hosts, 20-17, it was still a memorable day for all concerned.
On the day, Ryan Hull scored two tries and Jordan Napier one, with Josh Dixon kicking a conversion.
