Free music festival line-up announced

Headline act The Christians will be supported by a superb line-up of musical talent at this summer’s Northumberland Live music festival.

The full line -up for the free event, which takes place on Saturday, August 23, at Blyth Links, has been announced and includes some big names.

The Christians, famous for hits such as Forgotten Town, Harvest for the World, and Born Again, will be supported by Stan, a local band with a powerhouse of pop and rock.

Cattle and Cane produce timeless music with layers of vocals, electric guitar and drums.

ICENI are a popular Newcastle-based band who deliver disco- infused pop and have been playing to large crowds all over the country including the V Festival and Glastonbury.

Alistair Sheerin has become a major draw on the north east music scene and is currently supporting The Enemy on their UK tour.

Jen Stephens and the Hiccups have a reputation for powerful and moving lyrics - a unique fusion of pop, jazz, folk and rock.
