Rainbows, Brownies and Guides have come together to support the work of the Salvation Army this festive season.
The youngsters from the South District of Girlguiding Cramlington Division have been collecting food donations to support the Salvation Army with their Christmas food parcels.
The three units all meet at the Salvation Army meeting room in Cramlington.
Susan Younger, territorial envoy for the Salvation Army, said they were overwhelmed with the support the youngsters had given.
“The girls have down an excellent job collecting the food contributions and thanks to them we will be able to help over 20 families this Christmas with food parcels,” she said.
The food parcels, along with donated toys will be given to selected needy families within the Cramlington area to ensure that they too can enjoy the special day.
