Glass attack on woman

A WOMAN was glassed in a Bedlington pub at the weekend.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident that happened at 10.48pm on Saturday, December 29, inside The Grapes pub on Front Street West in the town.

A 24-year-old woman was in the pub when she was attacked and assaulted by two women with a bottle and a glass causing cuts to her head.

She was taken to Wansbeck District General Hospital where she is receiving treatment.

The offenders are described as one in her early 30s with long blond curly hair wearing leopard print leggings and the other aged approximately 25-years-old with white blond hair tied in a bun.

Police are carrying out enquiries in the area and additional officers are on patrol to reassure the community.

Officers are asking for anyone who was in the bar at the relevant time to contact them.
