A charity supporting homeless people in the county has received a trio of cash boosts.

Making Winter Warmer were invited along to a ladies’ darts league’s yearly presentation to collect £360 that had been donated to the group.

The same amount was also donated to Princess Louise Nursery, Blyth Spartans Juniors FC, Fordley Judo and Bright Beginnings.

Also on this night, Making Winter Warmer collected £235 from a sponsored ghost hunt and £565 from the Blyth family fun day.

Jo Burns from the charity said: “This money kindly given to us will go along way to help our group continue to help those who need us.”

“Thank you once again to the Blyth community for this donation.”
