Members of Northumberland’s Trefoil Guilds got together for their annual tea party, focusing on the 70th anniversary of D-Day.
Volunteer guide Holly Durward took everyone on a tour of Blyth Battery’s buildings during the event last week.
The spirit of the anniversary continued in St Cuthbert’s Church Hall, decorated with flags and posters, where refreshments were served by members of 2nd Blyth Guides.
Everyone’s knowledge of the events of the war was tested with a quiz and the afternoon ending with community singing.
The Trefoil Guild is guiding for adults and offers opportunites to meet friends, develop interests and tackle new challenges.
