A Cramlington care worker has been rewarded for going the extra mile with a top award.
Hazel Lacamp, domestic supervisor at RMBI care home Scarbrough Court in Cramlington, has been chosen as the winner for the Ancillary Worker Award in the north east round of the Great British Care Awards.
Home manager Lesley Dawson said: “We are very proud of what Hazel does in the home and we are delighed that she has been recoginsed for what she does above and beyond what is required of her.”
Edna Petzen, assistant director at RMBI, added: “We are thrilled Hazel has been awarded this prestigious accolade.
“The Great British Care Awards are a true celebration of the care sector and it is wonderful that Hazel has been recognised for her dedication within her field of work.
“Hazel is held in the highest regard by her staff for her continuous support and encouragement, and delivering excellence and we all extend our congratulations to Hazel and Scarbrough Court for this award.”
Hazel will now be put forward to the national awards where an overall winner will be selected later in 2014.
