Special people with a spare bed in their home and an interest in making a real difference in a young person’s life, are wanted by children’s charity Barnardo’s in south east Northumberland.
The charity’s ‘Crashpad’ and supported lodgings schemes are for young people over the age of 16 who are in crisis or temporarily homeless.
Crashpad is for vulnerable teenagers and young people who need a short term, emergency place to stay after family breakdown, or crisis, for up to eight weeks.
A weekly fee of approximately £160 is paid, and training and support will be given.
If anyone is interested in hearing more about the Crashpad scheme or about longer term supported lodgings, can contact Barnardo’s Young People’s Project, which is based in Blyth on (01670) 797800.
