Honours list accolade for RAF chief

A FORMER teacher from Bedlington is celebrating after being given one of the highest honours handed out to Royal Air Force personnel.

Stephen Bryce, formerly a PE teacher in the town, was awarded a commendation in the Queen’s jubilee honours list.

Stephen, pictured, is now commanding officer of the RAF School of Physical Training at Cosford in Shropshire.

Stephen’s family moved to Bedlington in 1980 from Sussex, but he has lived in Oxfordshire since 1996.
