Images of the county will feature in a new book of photographs of the seaside.
The English Seaside, produced by English Heritage and published on May 27, will feature a photographic record of today’s coastline.
Along with images from the rest of the country, the book features the beach huts and the offshore turbines at Blyth, as well as traditional fishing boats at the Farne Islands in Seahouses, and Bamburgh Castle.
Photographer Peter Williams explores more than 170 beaches in Britain and the difference between nostalgia and modernisation.
The English Seaside will feature more than 600 images by Peter Williams, and will be priced at £14.99 when it hits shops next month.
