A book launch is taking place in Newcastle next month for the second instalment in a series by a Seaton Delaval author.
Winston and the Canny Lass is the second volume in Barry Stone’s intended quartet of novels, The Winston Tails, and will be launched at St Nicholas’ Cathedral in Newcastle on Wednesday, May 7, at 6.30pm.
The Winston Tails are narrated by a much-loved Collie Cross who has exceptional powers that are used to help a long-suffering mum and her unusual family of four.
The first book, Barking at Winston, is set in the summer of 1976, and Winston and the Canny Lass picks up six years later.
Barry said: “Brucie the dog is protective of his humans from day one, and in the second book he does his best to help when the first of the kids tumbles headlong into love.”
Signed copies will be given out at the launch. Entry is free.
