Menu gets thumbs up

PUPILS at a Seaton Delaval school enjoyed a delicious breakfast as part of Farmhouse Breakfast Week.

Whytrig Middle School served up an extended menu of fruit smoothies, cheese on toast, scrambled eggs, pain au chocolat and croissants to highlight the importance of having breakfast.

Julie Morris, who runs the school’s breakfast club, said: “It’s been a very successful week.

“Our regular attendees have loved having a more diverse menu to choose from and we’ve also attracted some new members, which is always a good thing.”
