A mother is holding a charity event to help raise funds for research into finding a cure for a condition her son has.
Michelle Foster, from Blyth, is planning a charity night in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, as her two-year-old son Charlie suffers from the condition.
Michelle said: “We are trying to raise awareness because not enough people know how devastating CF can be.
“Charlie is doing OK at the moment but we don’t know if that’s going to change.
“CF is a life shortening disease and we were totally devastated when we found out Charlie had it.
“Hopefully we can raise some money which will go towards research into finding a cure.”
The night will take place on April 4 at the Side Club in Newsham from 7pm.
Tickets are priced at £7 and will be available on the door.
