A new concept in pharmacy has opened up in a Northumberland town.
Led by pharmacy manager and pharmacist Florence Lao, the team at LloydsPharmacy in Blyth, officially opened the new concept last week.
The Blyth team is one of the first in the UK to offer LloydsPharmacy’s new approach to community health, which has been developed to improve access to healthcare information and support.
The ribbon was cut by George Milburn, 86, who has been a customer for more than 25 years.
Florence Lao said: “As part of the transformation, the pharmacy in Deleval Terrace now offers free, enhanced services for a range of conditions including pain and diabetes management and skin health.
“We are delighted to be one of the pioneers in a project that will do much to raise awareness of healthcare needs at a local level.”
