New store is all set to open

A NEW look supermarket is set to open its doors.

Staff will be on hand to cut the ribbon to officially open the new Morrison’s store in Regent Street, Blyth, at 9am on Monday, January 28.

The new store is 50 per cent bigger than the old store – 30,500sq ft – and includes a patisserie style cake shop, a Fresh to Go counter serving food to take away, and a café.

The store also includes a continental style deli counter, 140 cuts of meat in the butchery, more than 80 cheeses, and 48 varieties of freshly baked bread.

Store general manager Ian Brocklehurst said: “We can’t wait to show off the new store to our shoppers and would like to thank them for their patience while it was being built.”
