Park attack thug breaks arm of 11-year-old

A boy had his arm broken in two places by a thug after being chased through a Bedlington park by a group of teenagers on Sunday.

The 11-year-old was walking through Doctor Pit Welfare Park at around 5pm when a group of youths started chasing him.

After being forced into a corner of the park, one of the group pushed the boy to the ground and forced his arm until it broke in two places.

A police spokesperson said officers investigating the attack believe the group was made up of around seven or eight young teenage boys.

Police are currently viewing CCTV footage from the area around the park.
