Police keen for witnesses after incidents on buses

WITNESSES are being sought after two incidents on a bus in Newbiggin.

Police received a report of a passenger being disorderly on the X21 service from Newcastle to Newbiggin at around 7pm on Thursday, January 17.

Then at around 7.15pm on the same day, police received a report of an attempted robbery on the No. 35 as it left Newbiggin.

A woman got off the bus stop at the Bank House Social Club and spoke to the suspected offender. Officers are keen to talk to the woman. A man has been charged with three offences of robbery, affray and common assault.
