Bosses at a Bedlington pub are celebrating after picking up a top local award.

The Three Horse Shoes pub, at High Horton, was named South East Northumberland Pub of the Year, receiving the award at its annual Spring Beer Festival.

The award is based on votes from CAMRA members from the Tyneside and Northumberland branch.

Martin Ellis, from Tyneside and Northumberland CAMRA, said: “‘It is a huge accolade to win the South East Northumberland Pub of the Year Award, the competition is stiff with many great pubs hoping to win.

“The Three Horse Shoes impressed CAMRA members with its wide selection of beers and the enthusiasm manager Ian Trinder has for real ale.”
