Pupils in Blyth are being given the chance to demonstrate what they love about their town.
The Keel Row shopping centre has launched a competition for youngsters to express themselves artistically.
‘Blyth in your eyes’ is working with the town’s Horton Grange and New Delaval primary schools along with Cambois Primary.
The children are being asked to show off their artistic and creative skills by coming up with a picture which shows how they see Blyth through their eyes.
The pupils have also been asked to write a short description of what they love about the town.
The competition is an initiative that is designed to show what Blyth means to the children, while engaging them in a fun activity and allowing them to express their creativity.
The artwork will be displayed at the Keel Row shopping centre tomorrow (Friday) for the public to see, with one lucky winner from each school being chosen by a panel of judges.
Each winner will win a selection of goodies.
Centre manager Callum Reid said: “This is a great chance for the children of Blyth to really express themselves and show just how creative they can be.
“I’m extremely excited to see their artwork at the centre and I know that the public will love to see it too.”
