A refurbished children’s play park is set to re-open this week following a month of work.
Horton Play Park, on the Northburn estate in Cramlington, has been refurbished and totally renovated.
And a special event will be held from noon on Friday, April 11, to mark the grand opening of the children’s play area.
The park was closed in February and has undergone extensive works funded by Cramlington Town Council and from Coun Wayne Daley’s Northumberland County Council’s capital fund.
The new-look facility now features a roundabout, hill slide, swings, climbing tower, trampoline and more.
Coun Daley said he is delighted with the finished look and believes it will be popular with children.
“Everyone is welcome to see the new park, the last to be done in Cramlington, and I’m sure it will be a great day out for the kids and a welcome permanent park for local people,” he said.
