A group of youngsters reaped the rewards of teamwork by going on a fishing trip to Fontburn Reservoir.
As part of a group project which was initiated to raise self-confidence, five Bedlingtonshire Community High School students, Michael Eagle, Rowan Jobson, Alan Mullaney, Jak Reid and Adam Wilson, decided to do a Keyfund project to try and raise the money to go on a special fishing trip.
The group had to plan an activity of their choice, which meant having to budget and organise the activity as a group.
The group had to work together to produce a Powerpoint presentation with all the research for the trip included in it, which they delivered to a panel of two Keyfund trained staff from Northumberland College.
The panel were so impressed with their presentation and idea that they were awarded the funding to be able to go on their trip with no cost to themselves.
