A health roadshow is giving people the chance to have their say on local health services.
The ‘Healthy Northumberland’ roadshow, organised by NHS Northumberland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), is finding out peoples’ health and care priorities for the next five years and asking them to take part in a survey.
Dr Alistair Blair, chief clinical officer of Northumberland CCG, said: “This is an opportunity for people across Northumberland to have their say and to shape the future design and delivery of health and care services in our area.
“This isn’t just about health and care in the traditional sense of hospitals, GP practices, nurses, social workers and care homes, it’s about overall wellbeing, and the steps we can take to improve that.
“This could include better access to gyms, improved guidance on nutrition, helping to reduce smoking or drinking, or using alternative methods to help you live a healthier life. Whatever ideas you have, we want to hear them.”
Northumberland CCG representatives will also be organising focus groups with staff at local businesses and other groups across the county to seek further feedback.
