A YOUNG woman from Holystone is celebrating after her creative skills bagged her a brand new car.

Sarah Cummings, 22, won a new Peugeot 208 after taking first place in Peugeot’s ‘Pudsey’s Dream Wheels’ national online competition.

More than 12,000 people entered for a chance to win, but Sarah’s purple car, complete with jet engines, sirens and wings, was voted the winning design.

Sarah, a learning disability student nurse, was handed the keys to her new motor at Peugeot dealership, Robins & Day Newcastle.

She said: “I’ve never won anything in the past so winning the car was literally a dream come true and a great way to start the year.

“I couldn’t wait to drive home to show my mum.

“This is the first new car I’ve ever had and I still can’t believe how shiny it is.”

Richard Brown, dealer principal at Robins & Day Newcastle, said: “When we called Sarah to tell her the good news, she didn’t believe us at first.

“She was absolutely thrilled when we told her she was the winner.

“‘Pudsey’s Dream Wheels’ is a fitting way to promote the new Peugeot 208 model and raise vital funds for the charity.

“There were some very creative and stylish entries and we would like to thank everyone who designed a car and in doing so donated towards Children in Need.”
