School gets almost £10k grant from lottery fund

A CRAMLINGTON school has received nearly £10,000 of funding thanks to the Big Lottery Fund.

Northburn Primary School is one of 14 groups in the region to receive funding from Awards for All, which gives small grants of up to £10,000 .

The school will use the £9,900 to purchase dance mats and equipment to establish alternative physical activity sessions outside of school hours.

The mats will provide children, young people and adults from the wider community with fitness activities that will encourage participation from people who usually do not participate in traditional sport or physical activity.
