Cramlington Learning Village has been welcomed into this year’s Olympic Games’ Get Set network.

The London 2012 organising committee has given the Highburn School a plaque and certificate to acknowledge its involvement in an education programme being run ahead of the sporting extravaganza.

Triple Paralympic gold medallist Stephen Miller handed over the plaque and certificate, saying: “Students at Cramlington Learning Village are excellent examples of how London 2012 is helping to spark young people’s imagination and inspiring them to get involved and make a difference.”
