A Northumberland scouting group will be staying warm and dry on camp trips thanks to a donation of tents.
The 1st Ashington Scouts needed to replace their old tents, and the Northumbria Police Charities Fund stepped in to fund five new ones.
Group scout leader Mark Johnson said: “We are grateful for the support provided by the Northumbria Police Charities Fund.
“The tents have replaced some extremely old ones and it means that we are able to camp more frequently.
“They’ve already been used for a local one night camp.”
Sarah Dodds, Northumberland charities trustee, said: “I’m pleased we were able to support the 1st Ashington Scouts by providing new tents .”
