Local people are being encouraged to take a look at the proposals for a new £74m development in Ashington town centre next week.
The proposals will be on display for a second time on Wednesday, July 30, at Trinity Church, Station Road, Ashington, from 3pm to 7pm.
Arch is leading the delivery of the development and regeneration of a ten-year programme that will invest around £74m and bring over 1,000 high-quality jobs to the heart of Ashington and transform the town centre’s physical environment.
The Ashington Investment Plan describes Arch’s proposals to work on behalf of Northumberland County Council to redevelop the “North East Quarter” of the town centre, expand and improve the housing stock and put vital local institutions on a sustainable long-term footing.
The Investment Plan will facilitate the physical elements of Northumberland County Council’s wider vision for a healthier and more prosperous Ashington, through economic regeneration and the attraction of wider public and private sector investment.
This is one of many events and engagement sessions that will take place so that residents and businesses can see the Ashington Plans.
Copies of “What’s Happening in Ashington” are also available from Ashington Workspace, Wansbeck Workspace, Hirst Welfare, Ashington FC, Ashington library and available to download from Arch’s website. This is to keep everyone informed and to ensure everyone has an opportunity to see the plans.
