SHOPPERS in Cramlington are being invited to get into the jubilee spirit by taking part in a royal-themed party.

Manor Walks shopping centre is encouraging people to join in its version of a street party every day from Saturday until Tuesday.

Hits from the last 60 years will be played over the mall’s public-address system and face-painting and crafts tables will be available for children.

Centre manager Bruno Coppola said: “Stores within the mall most often operate as individuals, so this is a great opportunity for them to come together, enjoy the carnival atmosphere and get into the spirit of the royal occasion.

“We are taking the shops out onto the mall for the public to enjoy, so our loyal shoppers can benefit from something familiar but surprising.”
