Spartans back on air

BLYTH Spartans FC have announced that a further four home league matches will be broadcast on Radio Northumberland before the end of the season.

The games against Ilkeston, Kendal Town, North Ferriby United and Grantham Town will be live on the station with Spartans Press Officer Mark Carruthers will be joining Radio Northumberland’s Head of Sport Jonny Hall in the commentary box.

Mark said “So far the radio coverage has been very well received by Spartans supporters around the country and we have had excellent feedback from opposition fans as well.

“Jonny and myself look forward to a busy schedule and hopefully an exciting end to the season for both the club and Radio Northumberland who have been superb in their support of Spartans”

The home fixtures will be covered by Radio Northumberland on the following dates:

Saturday 16th March against Ilkeston FC from 2.30pm

Tuesday 19th March against Kendal Town from 7.30pm

Monday 1st April against North Ferriby United from 2.30pm

Saturday 20th April against Grantham Town from 2pm
