Visitors at a Cramlington care home were in for a spooky treat as the home celebrated Hallowe’en with a special party.
Ghoulish decorations were put up in the entrance and grounds of Astor Court and Astor Lodge View Care Home as well as the reception and lounges including pumpkin lanterns, witches hats and giant spiders.
A local singer then came in to kick off the party which was followed by Halloween themed refreshments and party food which was served to residents, staff, visitors and family members.
Mandy Mackley, care manager for Astor Court and Astor Lodge View said: “The residents loved our Halloween celebrations, it’s been a busy day but everyone who came said they’ve had a brilliant time.
“Some of our staff came in wearing costumes which looked fantastic. They had clearly made a big effort for our Halloween day.
“We’ve just started to host a monthly lunch club to invite people into the home so thought that it would be fun to combine the two events.”
