Sporty people in the county are being encouraged to take part in a Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Seaton Sluice.

The event will take place on Sunday, March 23, and already 200 local people have signed up to run one, three, or six miles.

Mile organiser Michael Firek said: “We are delighted that so many people have already signed up but we want even more people in south east Northumberland to take part and make it the best Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile yet.

“So let’s show the rest of the country what we can do and raise as much money as we possibly can for this incredible cause.”
