Sports gear to activate kids

CHILDREN in Seaton Delaval have taken delivery of some brand new sports equipment to help them keep active.

The youngsters at Seaton Sluice Middle School received the healthy treats, provided by Sainsbury’s in West Monkseaton, through the Active Kids Scheme.

Since its launch in 2005, the initiative has helped schools, scout and guide groups and sports clubs by donating £124m worth of equipment and will re-launch in the New Year, to allow more youngsters to take part.
