STAFF from four businesses in Cramlington got their running shoes on for pancake day on Tuesday.

Teams from Manor Walks shopping centre, Cramlington Cobblers, Concordia Leisure Centre and Asda had their frying pans at the ready as they took part in the supermarket’s annual pancake race.

Contestants were challenged to toss the pancakes as they ran against each other at the leisure centre facility.

This year, Asda battered the opposition to be crowned the winner of the race.

Those who took part were Lee Platt and Adam Lacy, from Cramlington Cobblers; David Harvey and Stephen Barns, from Manor Walks; Dawn Burn and Sandy Towers, pictured, from Concordia, and Aaron Barber and Andrew Winter, from Asda.
